You Don’t Have to Find Your Purpose

June 3, 2025|Mindset & Personal Growth

I’ve been hustling most of my life.

In eighth grade, I’d pay friends to pick up packs of baseball cards on their way to school. I’d tear them open, pull the best ones, and flip them for profit. That was the beginning.

Then came Amway. Quixtar. The dream of “Going Diamond.”

I started two clothing lines. Built too many websites.

I wasn’t chasing joy. I was chasing something to prove.

None of those things really felt like me.

But I kept moving. Kept building. Kept trying to matter.

Then God built something I didn’t plan.

Red Focus wasn’t mine.

It was given.

And I wanted to take that gift and hustle with it.

I wanted this YouTube channel to be about consulting—for influence, for money, for clout.

But I keep coming back to this:

Abide.

The world keeps saying:

Find your purpose. Build your brand. Clarify your genius.

But here’s what I’ve learned, sometimes painfully, sometimes slowly:

You don’t have to find your purpose.

You were born with it.
You were woven with it.
And when you stop running, when you abide, your purpose doesn’t need to be discovered.

It begins to speak.

Jesus said:

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you… Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit.”
(John 15:4–5)

Purpose isn’t a formula.

It’s fruit.

It grows from union, not performance.

And you don’t have to invent it.

You were created for it:

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
(Ephesians 2:10)

So maybe that ache you feel isn’t confusion.

Maybe it’s the Holy Spirit whispering:

“You’re living against your design. Come back. Come home.”

Because before you ever launched a brand, or bought a domain, or recorded a single video…
“All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
(Psalm 139:16)

We are mid-cocoon.
Still soft.
Still becoming.

But the transformation has already begun.

You don’t have to chase your identity.

You don’t have to perform for your calling.

Christ is already living through you.

And that is your purpose.

Let it unfold.

Abide and become who you already are.
